Izegrim/Code Of Consequences/Listenable Records/2011 CD Review

Izegrim are a band from the Netherlands that have a history that goes back to the mid 90's and plays a style of melodic death metal mixed with thrash and this is a review of their 2011 album "Code Of Consequences" which was released by Listenable Records during the year of 2011.

Drums range from midpaced to fast drumming with a great amount of brutal blast beats being thrown in at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing hat is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars are a mixture of midpaced to fast brutal death metal riffs that are also very heavily influenced and mixed with thrash with a great amount of melody, while the lead guitars are very talented and melodic death metal guitar solos that utilized alot of skill.

Vocals are all high pitched death metal growls and screams, while the lyrics cover war, destruction and annihilation, as for the production it has a very heavy and professional feel to the sound.

In my opinion Izegrim are a very good melodic death/thrash metal band, and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECEMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Victim Of Honor" "My Secret Society" "Final Farewell" and "Psychopathic Mind". RECEMMONDED BUY.
