Dehydrated Goat/The Urogenital Compost/2010 Live EP Review

Dehydrated  Goat  are  a  band  from  Latvia  that  plays  death/grind  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  live  2010  ep  "The  Urogenital  Compost".

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music  with  a  brief  use  of  jazz  style  clean  playing,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  death  metal  with  grindcore  and there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  are  all  deep  guttural  death/grind  growls  with  some  high  pitched  screams  along  with  a  brief  use  of  goofy  sounding  clean  singing  vocals,  while  the  lyrics  cover  perverted,  hateful  and  violent themes,  as  for  the  production  on  this  recording  it  is  recorded  live  and  has  a  very  dark,  heavy  and  raw  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Dehydrated  Goat  are  a  very  great  sounding  death/grind  hybrid  and  if  you  are  a  fan of  this  style,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Castration  Of  Kingu"  "Goodbye  My  Poo"  and  "Portable  Anus".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
