Gorgatron are a band from North Dakota that plays a brutal mixture of death metal and grindcore and this is a review of their 2014 album "Inner Supremacy" which was released by ZeroBudget Records.
A very heavy and brutal death metal sound starts off the album along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful and the music also incorporates a great amount of blast beats and a good mixture of growls and screams as well as the speed of grindcore and the music also brings in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
At times you can hear some morbid sounding melodies in the guitar riffing and the songs also go for more of a mid 90's brutal death/grind sound and as the album progresses the band brings in elements of thrash on one of the tracks and the whole album is very brutal form beginning to end and there is not a single guitar solo or lead to be heard anywhere on the recording.
Gorgatron takes the mid 90's style of brutal death metal and mixes it with grindcore to create a very heavy sounding recording, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover zombies, murder and insanity.
In my opinion Gorgatron are a very great sounding brutal mixture of death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Flesh Erosion" "Thrasher Basher" "The Uncovering" and "Drunken Cunt". 8 out of 10.
