Killing Gandhi are a band from Denmark that plays a melodic form of death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Aspirations Of Failure" which will be released in February by Massacre Records.
An atmospheric sounding intro starts off the album along with a brief use of spoken word parts before going into a very fast, heavy and melodic musical direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats while synths are also mixed into the heavier sections of the songs at times.
Vocals are mostly death metal growls and screams while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the guitar solos and leads also being done in a very melodic fashion as well a s the music also mixing in influences from other genres of metal and there is also a couple of brief instrumentals as the album progresses, clean vocals can also be heard briefly.
Killing Gandhi plays a style of melodic death metal that is very modern sounding along with elements of other metal genres, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Killing Gandhi are a very great sounding melodic death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Let Me Tell You" "The Great Escape" "My True Being" and "Building My Own Fate". 8 out of 10.
